Vickie Harden

Vickie L. Harden MSSW, Senior Vice President of Clinical Services.  Ms. Harden received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee.

As Vice President of Children’s Services, Ms. Harden’s responsibilities include the oversight and development of children’s services, training, policy development and implementation, and ensuring all children’s programs promote the VBHCS mission and goals. She has extensive experience in direct care, supervision and administration of children’s mental health programs with the Volunteer system.

Additionally, her experience includes work as the Director of Prevention, Education & Adolescent Services for Foundations Associates.  She was responsible for providing oversight of education and prevention activities which included national conference, regional and state training on co-occurring disorders, administering the Strengthening Families prevention program and adolescent intensive outpatient program.

As an active member of her community and in the field of social work, Ms. Harden has held a number of positions including: NASW TN Director at Large, Tennessee Respite Coalition founding member, Child Advocacy Center Board of Directors, Co-Occurring Center of Excellence National Steering Council, Region IV and V Mental Health Policy and Planning Council, Tennessee Association of Mental Health Organizations Alcohol and Drug Subcommittee and Children and Youth Subcommittee. Most recently, she was appointed to the Steering Panel of the Governor’s Office of Children’s Care Coordination.

As well as her duties with VBHCS, Ms. Harden is an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee, College of Social Work graduate program. She also serves as a mitigation specialists and mental health consultant with the State of Tennessee Office of the Post-Conviction Defender.
